6 Nations 2019
For only the third time in history, Ireland will begin the 6 Nations Championship as Grand Slam Champions. The 2019 tournament promises to be the most competitive in years as each team looks to build momentum ahead of the Rugby World Cup in Japan later that year.
Ireland will start the defence of their title against the English team that will be hungry for revenge having been completely outplayed by Ireland at Twickenham in 2018. Joe Schmidt will be eager to continue his impressive home record though when the two titans of Northern Hemisphere rugby clash at the Aviva Stadium on the opening weekend of the tournament.
On March 10th, France will be the second side to visit Dublin in search of revenge against the champions. Ireland will hope to be more dominant against the French at home, having left it very late to snatch victory in Paris thanks to a moment of genius from Johnny Sexton last year. While Ireland have not lost to France at home since 2011, the French will be tough opponents with their powerful runners and electric back-three.
Both tests at the Aviva Stadium are set to be complete sell-outs so booking early is advised.
